Can I promote on Microsoft Advertising?

Stripcash Support

Yes, once you're approved for the adult marketplace. Bing holds roughly 5% market share, so volumes are lower than Google's, but delivery tends to be more stable.

After approval, a team dedicated to adult advertisers is available to help.

Two things we don't permit: impersonating our brand or bidding on our keywords, and cloaking or other misleading practices. Everything else is fair game, within Microsoft's own rules.

What to prepare in advance

  1. Study the policy and country restrictions: https://about.ads.microsoft.com/en-us/policies/restricted-categories/adult-content
  2. Prepare a promo site.
  3. Create a bridge page.
  4. Add an 18 U.S.C. 2257 Record-Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement to your promo site.
  5. Draw up a shortlist of the keywords you plan to use.
  6. Prepare sample ad content.
  7. Complete the adult advertising program participation form.

Restrictions to plan around

  • Search ads are the only eligible format.
  • Only specific countries are eligible for targeting.
  • You can only bid on terms from the approved adult keyword list.
  • Exact match only — phrase and broad match will stop your ads from delivering.
  • Paid reach: sexual content is allowed, with restrictions
